Website Terms

These Website Terms (“Terms”) govern use of the VoltCurb website, beta waitlist, and browser beta. By using the website, submitting the waitlist form, or using the beta, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant service.

1. Product-development status

VoltCurb is an e-bike charging product in development. Website descriptions, visual previews, compatibility statements, estimated availability, and planned features may change. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee beta access, compatibility, availability, pricing, or a launch date.

2. Browser beta and charging estimates

The browser beta can request relay changes from a compatible smart plug and collect electrical telemetry. VoltCurb does not communicate with the battery, bypass the charger or battery-management system, or provide a battery-safety system. Percentages, time remaining, battery energy, and stopping points are estimates derived from information you enter and power measured at the wall; they are not direct battery-management-system measurements.

You are responsible for using compatible, undamaged equipment; installing and operating it according to manufacturer instructions; keeping the charger within the smart plug’s ratings; and following all bike, battery, charger, and smart-plug guidance, including any periodic full-charge or balancing instructions. Do not use the beta for equipment that is unattended contrary to manufacturer guidance.

3. Waitlist and communications

You must provide accurate information and may join only for yourself or with the email owner’s permission. By selecting the consent checkbox, you request VoltCurb beta and launch communications. You can withdraw that request at any time through the unsubscribe page, an unsubscribe link in a message, or by contacting voltcurb@gmail.com.

4. Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, submit automated or fraudulent requests, introduce malicious code, misuse another person’s information, scrape the service in a way that burdens it, or use the website in violation of law.

5. Intellectual property

The website’s original text, branding, graphics, software, and design are owned by VoltCurb or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms allow personal, noncommercial viewing of the website but do not transfer ownership or grant permission to copy or commercially exploit VoltCurb materials.

6. Feedback

If you voluntarily provide product suggestions or feedback, you give VoltCurb permission to use that feedback without restriction or compensation, while retaining ownership of any pre-existing intellectual property you identify as yours. Do not submit confidential information through the public waitlist form.

7. Third-party services

The website and beta may link to or rely on third-party hosting, authentication, email, analytics, smart-plug, or social services. VoltCurb does not control third-party terms, availability, security, firmware, local-network permissions, or content. A link does not necessarily mean endorsement.

8. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, waitlist, and beta are provided “as is” and “as available.” The beta may disconnect, receive stale telemetry, estimate incorrectly, stop above or below a target, fail to issue a command, or be affected by a browser, router, cloud, Shelly, charger, or power outage. VoltCurb disclaims warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VoltCurb will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from the website, waitlist, beta estimates, beta availability, or smart-plug commands. These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. We may revise these Terms as the website or product changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
